Assoc. Dr. Keskin noted that lung cancer progresses insidiously and occurs in advanced stages, adding that it is important to diagnose the disease at an early stage. Keskin continued: “For this reason, researches point out that people who are at risk of lung cancer, especially smokers, must be screened at the age of 50 and over. Lung cancer, which can be diagnosed at an early stage as a result of these screenings, can be completely eliminated with the treatments applied.
